The Developmental Milestones Project

Tracking, understanding and optimising your child's growth, from birth through seventy two months.

Two infants lying on a bed, propped on their forearms, wearing hooded towels.

Newborn through seventy two months. Six domains, tracked from home.

You are the voice for your child

No one observes the subtle shifts in focus, emotional regulation or daily frustration better than you do.

Clinical metrics provide the baseline. Your daily observation provides the key. As a parent you are your child's primary advocate and their loudest voice, and our parent led inventories exist to turn what you already see into something specific enough to act on.

The Milestones Project is a structured clinical initiative designed to replace the anxiety of traditional paediatric testing with a clear, empowering roadmap. By pairing your insight with evidence based neuroplasticity trackers, we build a behavioural and cognitive profile of your child from the comfort of home.

Six core domains

Screening inventories focused on the critical developmental timelines from birth through age six.

  1. Gross motor skills

Large muscle movement and full body coordination. Assesses how your child coordinates foundational movement such as sitting, crawling, walking, running and holding core balance.

  2. Fine motor skills

The dexterity of the hands and fingers. Monitors tasks requiring precise control: grasping objects, manipulating toys, writing and hand to eye coordination.

  3. Perceptual motor skills

The brain's ability to integrate sensory information with physical movement. Tracks how the nervous system interprets visual and auditory data to guide action and spatial awareness.

  4. Language and communication

Both receptive language, how your child understands spoken words, and expressive language, how they use sounds, gestures and words to communicate ideas, needs and feelings.

  5. Social and personal skills

Emotional development and social bonding. Assesses how they interact with others, respond to social cues, express emotion and form relationships with family and peers.

  6. Self help skills

Growing autonomy and daily living. Reviews age appropriate independence: self feeding, dressing, toileting and following basic safety habits.

What it is for

By monitoring these six areas across the first six years, we can identify early neurodevelopmental shifts and support milestones while the nervous system is at its most adaptable.

If the inventory surfaces something, the next step is remediation activities matched to the specific domain, not a general programme.

Questions people ask

What age range does Milestones cover?

Newborn through seventy two months, which is birth to six years.

Who completes it?

You do. It is a parent led inventory. No one observes the subtle shifts in a child's focus, emotional regulation or daily frustrations better than the parent does.

What do I get at the end?

A behavioural and cognitive profile of your child across six domains, plus remediation activities targeted at the areas that need support.

Is this a diagnosis?

No. It is a structured screening inventory designed to identify early neurodevelopmental shifts so support can start sooner. It is built to replace the anxiety of traditional paediatric testing with a clearer roadmap.
